End of A Long Ride
April 28, 2011
Today was the last day of our bus tour of breweries and manufacturing houses in Germany and Austria. It was fun, but it’s really nice to be off that bus and able to relax, and not have to go on anymore tours. When I’m comfortably planted back in Rochester I’ll go through and detail everything we did in the Germany portion of the Siebel course. The lack of free time and reliable internet kept me off this blog for a while, but that’ll change soon.
Tomorrow we go through our graduation ceremony and a lunch at a small beer garden on the river, then we fly out of Munich on Saturday afternoon. It’s going to be nice to start eating food that’s not pork and potatoes constantly, while drinking beer that actually has some assertive flavor. Right now I need a big steak and a super hoppy IPA. Not that German beer is bad, it’s actually quite tasty, but I’ve had enough Helles to last a lifetime and really want some beers with hops and more than 5% ABV.
The next step in all of this is to get home and get back to job searching. Fun…
